VZ isn't the ILEC in Maine any more. They unloaded it onto Fairpoint.
You sure it's Lowell, not Lovell? Lovell is a lot bigger -- a
whopping 974 population, but in a well-traveled resort area near the
Mount Washington Valley (across the NH line) where a tower would be
quite useful. Lowell is a town of 291 a few miles off the road to
nowhere. But it might have line of sight from a hilltop down to the
Orono/Old Town area, if anyone is there. And Meine Fiber Co.'s Three
Ring Binder passes nearby. Hmmm, if there were a WISP nearby, they
could use her tower to beam down to a fiber access point...
