Yes, 1400 lbs is the reported weight per section, though it's not here yet, so I can't say for sure. I do plan to weigh the sections when they do arrive by weighing my trailer empty and then running down to the corner truck stop to weight it with a section loaded...
I don't know what all I will put on the tower eventually, so I would kind of prefer to engineer it with some generous margins.
