Radio to Radio testing really isn't a good way to use iperf, part of the radio's resources are utilized for running iperf, you should test across the radio's not radio to radio. I have a backhaul that is hitting about 70 mbps nightly at the moment, it seems to perform well at 70 but I think I've only got another 10 (measuring across the link under utilization). I do use Airmax but I tend to use it only for loaded links as it keeps a more consistent response time when loaded, non-airmax tends to jitter under load, but when not under load it works better in my experience. Most of my backhauls are not Airmax enabled for this reason.
