There are too many 2G devices out there to eliminate the 2G network.

Where, how much and what happened with the 1G bands, though?

Add that none are re-farming current spectrum. New technologies are deployed in 
new bands instead of reforking 2g and 3g networks and reuse the spectrum…. Only 
case is Sprint fading out Iden network for LTE…
