I second the idea that getting a rugged 48VDC switch is sometimes more
costly than making your enclosure more like an indoor / ac environment and
putting an AC switch in it.

However, I did find a line of switches made by H3C, which was bought by
3Com, which was bought by HP that did the job.

Check out the HP 3100HP Ei line:  (HP A31008 Dc Ei Switch Mfr P/N JD316A)

JD316A was the original p/n for an 8 port, L2 managed, 48VDC switch.  This
came in 16, 24, and 48 port models as well.
