People like me intentionally read email with html parsing turn'ed off. I can pick the message from the html tags. If the message is in an image, the message is deleted unread. If I'm in a bad mood I leave the html (which is corrupted by reply in text mode) in the reply. Guess I spent too many years reading email on a VT. When I administered a network for a newspaper I ran most messages through MimeDefang which can remove the html before delivery. Prevented a lot of problems with self described power users.
