The Linksys APs have really gone down hill as far as quality... I
had the origional .11b router/4port mounted on a chimney for 2 years
without a single problem ... thru two winters with -35 temps and it
was rock solid ... I purchased another one and installed it in the
same setup and have had nothing but problems ... I think what
happens is as the market price comes down there is pressure on the
manufacturers (linksys/cisco) to cut corners and the end result is
low quality hardware .... so your problem is most likely just a
firmware bug I and would'nt worry to much about it ... if you want
to increase security you could do two things ... first enable MAC
authentication and also set the network up as a /30 subnet so there
are only two available IP addresses...
