Hello ... why are you using the firewall on the laptop ... your linksys wireless router would do a better job of protecting your whole network ... you need to set up the router to PAT your network ( PAT removes your LAN addresses and inserts the WAN address of your router) this is commonly called a NAT firewall ... turn DHCP off and give each of your computers a private IP address ... the LAN side of the linksys has a defult IP address of 192.168.1.1 ... with a 255.255.255.0 mask (you can assign your computers 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3) .. It is also a good idea to set the router to ignore WAN request ... It is also a good idea to turn off SSID broadcast and enable wpa encryption. With this setup anyone on the internet will only see your routers WAN IP ... all apps MSNchat will work just fine ...
