LinkSys 802.11G client card can scan the nearby APs and report which channel they are
on. This can be useful to adjust channel settings on your AP.

In addition, I know that Cisco AP has a setting where it can continuosly monitor the
channel and switch to least congested channel in case current channel gets busy. You
may need to find out if LinkSys has similar setting.

Check to make sure no one has an AP nearby that is
using the same channel.

As popular as wireless has gotten, you might find out
that a neighbor has a wireless AP too.
