Potential customers for wireless broadband would typically fall under two categories: commercial or residential. Commercial users could be WLAN hotspot operators, apartment managers, hotels etc. Basically anyone who wants to have a good connection to the Internet and re-distribute it to other people in the building. They may choose to have a wireless connection over a wired one (like a T-1 etc) due to cost and other reasons. Residential users may choose a wireless broadband connection as an alternative to cable or DSL. As for hardware makers, it will be the companies who are active in the WLAN market and in the MAN segment. I don't see why sofware developers need to do anything different. After all there are no WLAN-specific apps. The same apps - email, browser etc. will work over the wireless broadband connection without any changes.
