I don't remember the Hz specifically, but I thought there were some
newer cordless phones out that operate at a higher freq. I know my
2.4 phone is noticeably better than my older 900s - for range,
anyway. Naturally, the newer gadgetry is more spendy, but perhaps
you need to buy the phone from someone local who will let you bring
it back if it starts whacking your WLAN. (I learned the "take it
back" shopping thing from my mother-in-law, who takes that to
unbelievable heights!)
