The only time I run into problems where the column widths are saved are when I
add a column to the right of the Info column.  Then all hell breaks loose with
column widths every time Wireshark is run.  Otherwise, if you don't have any
columns to the right of the Info column, the column widths seem to be retained
when closing one capture file and opening another one.  Is this consistent with
your observations too?
