It could just be luck, or it could be that it still has a problem on, for
example, Mountain Lion, so I wouldn't just say "no longer a problem".

And I think at least one user has complained about the lack of Dark Mode
support in Mojave, so upgrading to a newer version of Qt might be a good idea,
even if it means we drop support for Snow Leopard.

The question is what post-5.3.2 versions of Qt can be used in applications to
be deployed on what post-Snow Leopard versions of macOS?
