mkfifo /tmp/something
In Wireshark:
1. Open Capture -> Options... -> Manage Interfaces and get to the "Pipe" tab.
2. Add a new pipe.
3. Click on it, so it shows the Browse button on the right.
4. Go to /tmp
5. "something" is not displayed in the file browser.
However, typing the path manually and using it works just fine.
