Bug ID: 16638
Summary: "Find Packet" with "Display filter" does not
autocomplete filters
Product: Wireshark
Version: 3.2.4
Hardware: x86-64
OS: Windows 10
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Enhancement
Priority: Low
Component: Qt UI
Assignee: bugzilla-ad...@wireshark.org
Reporter: daul...@gmail.com
Target Milestone: ---
Build Information:
Paste the COMPLETE build information from "Help->About Wireshark", "wireshark
-v", or "tshark -v".

When typing a display filter in the normal display filter location, it shows a
dropdown with autocomplete options as you type. eg: if you type "tcp." it will
show all filter options that start with "tcp."
But, when using the "Find Packet" feature (eg: Ctrl-F, then selecting the
"Display filter" dropdown), it does not autocomplete.
It would be nice to have the autocomplete options also show up when using the
"Find Packet" feature.
