If the overhead for "displaying" a batch of N packets is a linear function of
N, my guess is that the constant term for Wireshark is significant and the
constant term for TShark is small, so increasing the batch size may make a
significant difference to Wireshark but a small difference to TShark
(increasing the batch size reduces the contribution of the constant term, which
matters only if the constant term is significant), so maybe the batching is
necessary only for Wireshark.
