The V2X (Vehicle to everything) communications have a bunch of associated
protocols. ETSI groups it in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). As I know:
- IEEE 802.11p, wireless access in vehicular environments (WAVE), extension of
802.11, access protocol
- Cellular V2X (C-V2X)
- ETSI TS 102 636-5-1, Basic Transport Protocol (BTP), transport protocol
- ETSI EN 302 636-4-X, GeoNetworking, network protocol
- ESTI TS 102 637‐X, ITS Facilities, messages (CAM, DENM, etc.)
I know there are some dissectors of some of them, but they are not included in
current versions of Wireshark, probably because these are private versions, not
contributed.
I request dissectors for these and other possible V2X protocols.
