Thanks for the detailed report, this might be the same issue as bug 15122.
I can reproduce the issue on Windows 7 x64 with Wireshark 2.6.3. For some
reason the mmdbresolv.exe process does not exit when used in a pipe (tshark.exe
has already exited though).
Terminating the mmdbresolv.exe child process of Wireshark.exe is not
sufficient, only after terminating the parent (Wireshark.exe), all other
mmdbresolv.exe processes will exit and then sort will also complete
successfully.
