Hello. I am a student of IT engineering . We want to carry out a small but effective project on Packet Sniffer. We almost have no technical information about WireShark. We wish to use it for developing an application that is measurely used for monitoring purpose and Security ( ex. monitoring which sites are being accesed from the boys hostel ? what type of downloading peaple carry out ? etc etc. ). What are other ways we can use WireShark to create an effective application. Is it possible to make available the information present in the packet to the database so that it can be used for a variety of purposes ? Please reply soon.
