Hi, Don't waste your time on (1). This problem is technically solved. But it's a license issue. G.729 decoders are subject to licence fees. Therefore Wireshark (as an open source project) will never include G.729 playback. (Well, in the foreseable future that is) There are more or less legal ways to circumvent the problem. Just google for "Wireshark g729".
