Should some less fragile mechanism be provided, so that Pilot (and other 
programs that might want to use Wireshark) don't get broken by GLib changes we 
don't notice?  (Yes, Pilot might have to determine whether the new mechanism is 
available, and fall back on the older mechanism if it isn't.)
