The "Wireshark UI Metaphor" poll does not offer "start/stop" as an option. Even this thread uses "start and stop" and that's still the name of the buttons.
How about a graphical poll that shows the new Start Capture and Stop Capture icon suggestions - see which they prefer? I'll open a poll to my mailing list with the (1) old image, (2) current 1.9.3 image, (3) green play with red stop, and (4) a plain green and red button set. Should be interesting. Will send -dev the poll URL in a few minutes.
