My ΒΆΒΆ: I like the idea of using old tape recorder symbols for this. Starting a network capture is likely similar to starting the tape recording. In the old days, the button to start recording had two vertical bars: ||. The stop button had a square, the play button a triangle. Also note that if colors were used the recording bars were colored red, *not* the stop button. This also makes sense, because pressing that record button can overwrite your current data/tape, caution! pressing the stop button has to destructive effect. My suggestion: the record button should have to red vertical bars. The stop button a black or red square. Both buttons should have a circle sourrounding the bars and square in whatever color makes sense. Alternatively as Edwin suggested, a single toggle button, which probably has two advantages: - no confusion - one less button in the bar -- ---> Dirk Jagdmann ----> http://cubic.org/~doj -----> http://llg.cubic.org ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-dev mailing list <[email protected]> Archives: http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev Unsubscribe: https://wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-dev mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
