Hi all, a few months ago I mentioned in an email [1] that I would be writing a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) term paper on Wireshark's user interface. Well, after a couple of drafts, and having now finished that course I am releasing the paper online [2] for the (hopeful) benefit of the community.
The paper applies a specific existing HCI theory to Wireshark, so all of the suggestions and ideas in it are derived from that theory, which you may or may not agree with. Regardless, hopefully some of the insights and suggestions will prove useful or thought-provoking. Cheers, Evan [1] https://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev/201311/msg00022.html [2] https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/171647/Huus2013_Wireshark_HCI.pdf ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-dev mailing list <[email protected]> Archives: http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev Unsubscribe: https://wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-dev mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
