Well I suppose reinstalling :-(( is probably going to be the only way I can get a definitive answer to this Network oddity .. Wire shark seems to suggest that all is fine with regards to send/receive ping requests .. M1 for what ever reason will not answer the door knock ... But allows file & print sharing no problem .. I think I will pass on a reinstall

However, M1 chooses not to reply. I don't see any reason from a network perspective that this is happening.
