My bad, I tend to forget about windows but I would like my program to run on windows too (there is no reason it couldn't apart from this specific issue).

I am inspired by the www.nixos.org philosophy which ensures reproducibility by being as explicit as possible. In my case, I try to specify as much as I can when calling tshark so I am not too worried about any .config/wireshark/config interference. > you want a "disable all user plugins" option. To sum up, yes. Might make sense to have a flag for lua and another for C modules or some kind of enum.
