If they don't know, they can mention it here - it may be that it's a bug, or it may be that they weren't using Wireshark correctly - but if it turns out to be a bug, that bug should then be reported on the Wireshark issues list. Another place to ask for help using Wireshark is the Wireshark Q&A site: https://ask.wireshark.org/questions/ That site is a "crowdsourced FAQ".
