In the same series of actions I have a taf insert a record and the search
for that record to get the sequential number that the database has
generated. Basically, what I have done is that the first action is to assign
to a local variable a timestamp. Then, among other data, the action inserts
the userreferencearguement and the variable/timestamp. Then the Taf
searches the workorder table for the userreferencearguement and the
variable/timestamp and gives me back the database-generated sequential work
order number. Is this the only way to do this. I had to find a combination
of data that is always unique. The userreferencearguemnt and timestamp
combination is always unique.

It's a shame you don't get a result from an insert.
