Dan, layouts don't show up in windows, neither does the recordID field.
I'm pretty sure that on the Mac, its AppleEvents that gain access to
that info in filemaker. All I see are the fields in the database.
I'll report the behavior as a bug. The other weird thing is that after
the search failed, and I tried to restart Filemaker, it wouldn't launch
at all. I had to reboot the PC before things returned to normal!
