Andre Morozov, the Architect of the new Witango Server, whom we meet at the Witango Conference, has starting putting some very interesting content onto his site in the form of an FAQ. The FAQs appears to cover some questions about both the current and future Server product.
He has a disclaimer of course, about how the details and specifications may change without notice. Obviously this would be due to the evolving nature of ongoing development. Here is the topics he's covered so far: Q:Is there a way to improve performance of existing applications? Q:What is preemptive threading model and how will it affect the performance? Q:Will the application server's performance be improved, compared to Tango 2000? Q:Will the server call methods of my COM object concurrently? Q:What kind of COM objects can be used with the Call Method Action? Q:Does it take the server longer to process a run-only file? Q:Will the 64K limit on the size of the result retrieved with @URL be extended? Q:Will I be able to create my own Witango plug-in? Q:How does the load-splitting client work?
