Nice to see you are still following the list, I hadn't seen your name for a while.
I have to add my salute to your Storefront demo, it certainly made my life easier while with EveryWare/Pervasive. It allowed me to quickly demonstrate many of the features that were new to what was then Tango 2000. It was a very good example of something beyond just a basic demo and really opened a lot of eyes to the types of advanced solutions that could be created using Tango. For those that are not familiar with it, it can be a little intimidating at first but I strongly suggest that you take some time, open it up and work through what Ritchie has done. If you don't use Pervasive SQL don't despair, there is a SQL script that allows you to recreate the database. Try looking in PVSW: Tango2000: Demos: Storefront: DB. Ritchie, I seem to remember that you had created a white paper or some other document that was floating around internally. I don't recall it ever becoming part of the installation package but it provided some good information on how the Storefront demo was created. Have you still got a copy of that paper that could be shared with the rest of the group? I know that I'd like to take another look at it myself and I'm sure that the new users would find it helpful. I didn't know anyone even used that stuff, I wrote that StoreFront and all of its biz-rules for Pervasive and didn't know if anyone ever got any use our of it :) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Roland Dumas Sent: Friday, May 31, 2002 11:11 AM To: Multiple recipients of list witango-talk Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: Shopping Cart Yes, it did. Building one from scratch in Tango is also fairly straightforward with the various things you can easily do with an array. I created one to capture the business rules of the storefront better than a generic one (certain combinations yield different discounts, eligibilities, etc.) On 5/31/02 9:08 AM, "John Hollister" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Didn't tango come with a complete shopping cart system? > The store front demo, just a thought > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Gene Wolf > Sent: Friday, May 31, 2002 7:45 AM > To: Multiple recipients of list witango-talk > Subject: Witango-Talk: Shopping Cart > > I just got a call from a client and they want to set up an > e-commerce site.
