Just to get into this huge thread (also have learn
many things)
My personnal point of view is that I prefer design
public contents with standard compliance rather than compatibility; because
It's more easy to say: "your browser is not
compliant with the web standards" than managing all the old browser non-standard
features.
So I can rely entirely on the CSS to describe
presentation and keep HTML code as clean as possible.
I'm also study the extended abilities of IE for
backoffices part of our developments, and I currently don't know how the mac
version work with Jscript and DOM, did anyone have some experience with
this?

I just have discovered the existence of a W3C branded browser... Gauthier
