I know Web Analyzer inside and out (It used to be Bolero) and yes it does that already, you can get reports from it. problem is that it's hard to setup and it takes time... a lot of time... to get the old data in if he has the logs.  You used to have to also wait for the darn thing to normalize all the data.  I never understood why it took so long to do that.   Is With Enterprise going to keep that going or are they putting it out of its misery?

All these suggestions PLUS:

If you have a server log you can run webtrends, or Bolero if that's still around, or something looking for a string in the search, this is assuming that you have a URL which looks something like this:

http://domain.com/sometaf?_function=get&id=21

where the 21 would be the file or record ID you're looking for.

This method is non invasive to your app and give you the flexibility to get different reports in the way you want to see them.
