Farzana,

What DB Server are you using? I've done more or less exactly what you
described on several different SQL databases without any trouble. One thing
to try is to be sure that you really aren't getting the info there and it's
just not showing in the DB admin tool... When you query and display what has
just been updated, are you adding  'encoding=multiline' to your code?

Ie: <@column columname encoding=multiline> (or something like that...)
