No one is losing confidence or jumping ship. I think asking for an update and getting an answer is a reasonable request.
Something like
Private beta has been going on ... We expect public beta in .... Release by .... Would be really helpful.

Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: Release Dates
I'm now waiting so long, so I can wait one or two weeks longer.
I am sure that the MacWorld was a unexpected Show and that we get news after the MacWorld.
Sophie and Phil have make in the past very good jobs, so pls. give the With Enterprise Team the time to release a stable version.
Sometime it is better to wait and currently my version - Witango 4 - work fine for me. So we can continue to make developments.
I tell you this, not because I make the European Mainland Distribution, but I have see what Sophie and Phil have done in the past (also as the people where was on the Witango Conference). You can believe me, that it is also not the best situation for us Distributors to make a market for a product what is not released. But we don't stop to work.
So i ask you all to be patiented and don't loose the confidence.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen, best regards
Daniel Richardy

I have to agree with Brad. The lack of information is of some concern. The Filemaker like secrecy is not really appropriate in this case.
We all go a big confidence boost in April, but there has been no word since then. I too feel it is time for an update and would have thought Macworld would have been a great place to make an announcement.

Subject: Witango-Talk: Release Dates
I am confused as to why the nice people at witango have not commented at all regarding any dates; either public beta or full release... Even a broad date range would be something helpful and useful. I am sure there a many business reasons for not disclosing the approximate date, but I am losing credibility with clients. A lot of my clients wanted to bail on the technology when Pervasive dropped the ball - I convinced them to stick with it. The ones that actually did stick with it are now doubting whether the new company has what it takes to keep up with the demands of how quickly technology evolves. I doubt I am alone - my clients aren't going to buy "oh that will be fixed in version 5 which is coming out shortly" - for much longer. Perhaps someone on the list has a few good lines to keep clients confident - I know I am out of them.
