You're not alone! We build all our page templates and test everything first before building any pages. Our test matrix: Javascript On & Off, CSS On & Off Platforms/Browsers: Windows 98,NT,2000/IE 5, Netscape 4.7 Mac OS9,X/ IE4.5 &5, Netscape 4.7 Linux Netscape 4.7, Mozilla
For some sites, depending on audience, we will add others, like Lotus Notes or Solaris/Netscape. We also verify AOL. Also, all pages must be run through an automated syntax and link checker. Which takes me off topic to editors. I like BBEdit, with it's integrated link and syntax checkers, and sure would like it if I could edit my TAF HTML in BBEdit, and had a <metatag> pallette to pull from, with dialog boxes to help me complete the tag, along with syntax checking. Not much chance for that, but wouldn't it be great to see the wiTango environment migrate to eclipse, IBM's open source, plug-in enhanceable IDE? >Am I one of the few people who test in both browsers?
