Sorry, ignore that. I think I misunderstood the question although for those of you who wish to create/delete datasources dynamically (i.e. not depend on having the datasource pre-defined, or when you need a quick datasource created for importing – when you do not have access to a remote server) this may have value.

You can have a look at the DSNConfig.tcf which you will find in webroot\tango2000\config\. It uses an .exe called dsnconfig.exe found in the subdirectory \external\. These files are used to create ODBC sources from within the config.taf program. If you are using Windows 2000/XP I would recommend you use the command line utility odbcconf.exe (found in windows{winnt}\system32\) to create\delete your odbc sources dynamically. Just remember that datasources are kept open for a defined period of time so if you create a datasource, delete it and create another one with the same name it will use the cached info from the first.

Hi, i heard there was a way to define the data source of a DBMS action at the time the .taf is being run...like from an arg or something.  Does this sound familiar to anybody?

thanx
