If I remember correctly, the start arg counter was set at 1 and then 
incremented depending on the number of records that it is set to retrieve. 
ie if finish arg is set to 50 then the as the action is completed the start 
arg is incremented to 51 and so on.

The code does parse the functions being passed through to the page and then 
appends the "next [xx] records" link with the functions so that each page 
is searching with the same search criteria, and the only thing is changing 
is the start and finish args.
