You might consider getting your own mail server. A great FREE solution is Mercury/32. The smtp server has some great anti-relay abilities built in. Mercury was written by David Harris who also wrote Pegasus Mail.
You don't need to use it for POP mail if you don't want but all in all it's a great package. And there is a great listserv for support.
