I just put up an ecommerce site and the ? hasn't seemed to effect rankings
whatsoever. In fact, referrals actually went up, especially for Google. But
that was in part due to using a dynamic nomenclature for the title bars that
reflected page content. For the rest, good metatags, properly timed
submissions, and good old-fashioned payola to fee-based sites such as Yahoo!
should do well for the rest.
