So by that definition we can post anything here we like so long as we prefix
it with [OT]? Touching stories, get rich schemes, religious platitudes (of
all denominations), obscure references from the Koran, quotes by L.Ron
Hubbard (if I've offended anyone please note that my intention was to insult
everyone equally :) ).

The value of any list is defined by it's signal to noise ratio. No matter
how touching, relevant and well thought out a post is, if it doesn't
directly relate to Tango it is noise. If it relates to a topic that is
arguably close to Tango (web servers, hosting, DNS, db's etc) it's still
noise, but to a lesser degree. Prefix it with [OT].

You can post whatever you want here. You don't have to obey the rules. You
don't have to act in accordance with the agreed manifesto of this list. You
don't have to respect the requests of others. It's up to you. But if someone
leaves this list because the signal-noise ratio is too low we all lose out.

At the end of the day, if you want to post touchy feely stories of dubious
origin, there are plenty of places where they are welcome (and where posts
about Tango are not).

Please keep this list Tango. It's one internet. I can find all the heart
rending storis I could ever stomach if I wanted to. I'd like to be able to
find Tango solutions here.
