Can anyone tell me how to comment out some lines in the Configuration file T4server.ini?

I want to preserve some old settings that I can easily undo as below:

MAILSERVER=smtp.mail.wideopenwest.com

//MAILSERVER=24.153.64.2-->
Any help appreciated.
