You didn't mention which platform you were updating but it shouldn't matter.
I don't know of any reason to install Tango 2000 first unless there is no
ODBC manager and drivers on the box because I believe that they are no
longer installed with Witango 5.0.

If it were me, I'd go for the cleanest install possible which would be
Witango 5.0 directly.
