This probably isn't really a WiTango issue, but for
the last few weeks our IIS server that's running WiTango has been locking up
every couple days, requiring a reboot to get it going again. What happens
is that the number of anonymous users on the web service keeps climbing,
eventually reaching 256 and leveling off - at which point the server no longer
responds to web requests. Running 'netstat -a' shows lots of connections
to port 80 in the 'close_wait' state. Usually, we see connections that are
either 'established' or 'time_wait'. Stopping and starting IIS clears the
problem, but it usually happens again within a few hours. Rebooting the
machine completely clears the problem and it will work ok for several days or a
week.
Anyone have any ideas?
