Try hitting something like 'http://yourservername.com/scripts/t4cgi.exe/ fileinwebrootdirectory.taf' - that will pass the request through the cgi process instead of the IIS plugin. The plugin configuration not getting set properly is the most common mixup in Windows installations that I've experienced. (But it is definitely fixable)

hi, and thanks for the feedback.--
No, i am calling it throught the web server.
I have tested it on a normal html page which serves fine, so it could be
the plugin.
Wonder how I screwed that up ?
It is using win2000 iis 5.0
any further help is always appreciated.

Hi Stacey,
This might sound basic but are you actually calling
the file via the web server. From what you have below
it looks like you could be dragging the file onto your
web browser or opening the file in the browser.
What I mean is you'll need to open the file in the
form:
http://localhost\helloworld.taf
and not
E:\Inetpub\wwwroot\helloworld.taf
If I have just insulted your intelligence forgive me
but I thought it was worth a shot.
If this is not the problem then it may be that web
server isn't recognizing or can't find the appropriate
plugin.
