Chris/Atrix, You don't actually need to write a copy to disk on the server as suggested. It is possible to change the http headers and send the data to excel directly.
Attached is a very basic taf which demonstrates this functionality with
Witango 5.
FYI this will be available along with other Witango components in our
forthcoming Witango Component Zone.
