Crontab Editor - Beta Testers Needed

Since there have been so many posts in the past about problems getting crontab files working, we've created an application to aid in the task.

The basic outline is this: the application reads your server config file to find your crontab entry, reads in your crontab file and allows you to edit it within a browser. You can also upload an existing file and it will parse that and append it to any existing entries, allow you to edit and then resave, and reload the config file to make it active.

The only major caveat is that you must have an entry in your server config file already. Due to some issues in modifying the witango.ini file in version 5, we couldn't incorporate adding the entry with this application at the present time.

We've tested this successfully on several combinations of T2K (FTF 047) and v5 on Mac and Windows. We're looking for a small number of beta testers interested in the application to put it through its paces on other configurations (Linux and Solaris in particular, as well as T2K on Mac). A free copy of the application will be given to the testers involved.

We are hoping for a general release in the next couple weeks. At that time, it will be available for a very reasonable fee from our website.

If you're interested, please email me off-list with the versions/platforms you're interested in testing on.

Thanks,

Jason
