HMAC MD5 is covered in RFC 2202 which you can read at
http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2202.html
This RFC contains a reference implementation in C that you could port or
use directly (after compiling, from the External action.)
Tango and Witango implement a regular MD5 digest as <@CIPHER ACTION=HASH>.
