glad you liked the article Scott. I can see what you're saying. I suppose we are more 
prone disagree about means than ends. 

On the subject of point-to-point v. broadcasting, has everyone seen Andrew Odlyzko's 
"Content is not King". It's a couple of years old now, but brilliant. 

The argument is that there is a longstanding prejudice in favour of 'content', but 
connectivity is what people want, and ultimately are prepared to pay for. He quotes a 
historian of US Postal service: "In 1832, newspapers generated no more than 15 percent 
of total postal revenues, while making up as much as 95 percent of the weight".
