Please forgive me, I'm at my wits' end on this. I've looked everywhere
I can think of - the lack of resources on this service is amazing. I'd
appreciate any advice or tips, here or offline. Thanks very much!
W2K server.
Has anyone used the MS IIS indexing service and sample queries for the
web? I have the catalog up and running, the internal query works fine
and shows the document list. I've got the sample queries up on the web
- they seem to work (i.e., find the catalog & say index is up to date)
but don't show any documents - I get this instead: 'Documents 1 to 0
matching the query "test".'
I'm doing everything under my login & I'm an admin on the server.
Do the document directories have to be under the webroot or have to be
virtuals or something? We've got one server that has this working - it
shows the directories listed as virtuals in the default web site and IS
catalog. I've tried web-sharing my directories, but I can't seem to get
the virtuals into the catalog. I've tried indexing my default web site,
but that hasn't helped either. I've tried putting a copy of my
directory inside the webroot but no luck.
I thought it would be easy - the documentation all says you just set it
up and it works. Silly me - now I'm over a week past deadline and
nearly bald! Thank you for any help you can give.
